Title: Lady of the Lake [1] Rating: G Word Count: 135 Pairing: Kel/Maura Round/Fight: 1/C Summary: Dunlath's landscape is nearly as reflective as its inhabitants. (...sorry, couldn't help it.)
“I could almost be in the Islands, when the lake is like this.”
“Are they very beautiful, then?” Maura smiled, leaning forward to trail her fingers across the water’s cold, dark surface, watching their reflections shiver away.
“Beautiful, and secret.” Kel stretched, letting an arm fit about other woman’s smaller, neater shoulders. She watched the ripples coalesce into their new shape. “I might go back there again, one day." She grinned. "When I’m old and they can’t keep packing me off to the border. I could take you with me.”
“I’d never go with you,” said the Lady of Dunlath, eyes serious despite the impish fold at the corner of her mouth. “But I might think about it.”
Kel shrugged. “I’d think of you,” she said easily. “And this place. This time. Beautiful—”
“—and secret.”

The Arthur reference amuses me, and I simply adore this. There's something very restful and peaceful, and together about it.
