Summary: Gary takes matters into his own hands.
Gary looked up from his paperwork as Raoul entered his study and shut the door.
“I got your message,” Raoul said, confusion on his face.
“I wanted to talk in private,” Gary explained. He stood and walked over to his friend. “I’m happy, Raoul. With Cythera, I mean. And I see Jon and Thayet happy together, and Alanna and George happy together and well…I worry about you.”
Raoul blinked. “I’m fine.”
“So you always say,” answered Gary, part amused and part frustrated. He stepped closer and wrapped his arms around Raoul. “This time,” he said softly, “I’m going to make sure of it myself.”
