Title: A Love That You Discover Accidentally Rating: PG-13 Word Count: 256 Pairing: Gary/Raoul Round/Fight: 1/E Summary: Raoul and Gary after the glove debacle
It's Raoul who cracked first. They tried very very hard to stay mad at each other, to remember that it was all-his-fault that the glove was lost, that they'd been sent on the stupid patrols. They tried to glare, but it was Raoul who finally grinned, which made Gary laugh, and soon they were both totally gone.
“I missed you,” Gary admitted, when they had made their way back to his room and closed the door against rogue squires.
“I missed you too.” Raoul looked away shyly. The tension was there again, the pressure that had led them to the fight in the first place. It hadn't been there before, not before Delia came.
Gary swallowed. “How long are we going to keep avoiding this?” he asked, his voice low. “You feel it too, right?”
“Yes.” He kept staring at the floor. “I...do you...” He broke off, shaking his head. “No. No, this is very silly.” For a moment, he saw Gary's crestfallen face, but it did not register because all of his mind was focused on this one thing, of coming up to his best friend and kissing him soundly.
Once Raoul had released him, Gary had to take a few deep breaths before he could speak. “You missed a great opportunity. The knights in the tales would have answered 'Not much longer' before ravishing the fair maiden.”
Raoul smirked. “You are hardly ravished.”
Gary raised an eyebrow. “You could change that.”
So, he did.

Awesome. I love how it's Delia that brings them together, and the hint that the tension was something else entirely. It's a sexy great way to look at the glove incident.
