Title: Shall We Dance? Rating: G Word Count: 203 Pairing: Neal/Owen Fight: 1/E Summary: Neal decides to give dance lessons.
“You’re the oldest boy here, aren’t you? Owen asked Neal.
Neal nodded. “What of it?”
“Well, I was wondering if you could teach me about looking good around girls.”
Neal looked down at the plump first year before him. He was naïve, of course, being eleven years old, but Neal could hardly blame him for his curiosity. Many young boys thought that being pages made them desirable and honorable to the young girls of their age. Neal guessed that Owen was among them.
“Well,” Neal began hesitantly, “Girls like it when you dance with them.”
“Dance?” Owen’s eyes lit up. “I can dance!” He began to perform a series of convoluted movements that were definitely not any sort of dance Neal had seen before.
“Not like that. Like this.” Neal began to demonstrate the easiest of the complicated court dances.
“W-wow,” Owen murmured. “I don’t know if I can do that.”
“Sure you can,” Neal offered. “Here, let me help you.” He grabbed Owen and began to prance around with him. “You’re doing great.”
Owen began to laugh. “Thanks Neal,” he said when they stopped dancing. “Maybe the next time you see me I’ll have a girl!”
Neal could only shake his head.
