Title: Patterned (Part 5) Rating: R Word Count: 164 Pairing: Briar/Daja/Sandry/Tris – Team Circlecest Round/Fight: 1/H Summary: After so long together, some things come naturally and they're pattered after one another these days and maybe always have been.
Edited to bring it in line with the rules
Things were easy with Sandry and had been ever since three nights before Briar and Rosethorn had left. Easier than they'd ever been with Tris who, even now, was all thorns, even in bed but maybe not so easy as they were with Daja.
Briar would knock on the door to Sandry's workroom, deep in the palace and smile, before handing over some treat he'd brought – a flower, an orange out of season, a piece of baklava and Sandry would laugh, eat it or twine it in her hair and tie a string around the latch of the door.
They'd strip, calm and quiet, and lie curled together on the couch in the corner of the room, covered over with a blanket or make love, slow and gentle across the afternoon.
And then they'd get up, and Sandry would take out her accounts again, or her tapestry and set to work, while Briar lay back, a half smile on her face and watched.

Oh, Tris. My heart breaks.
I love this glimpse at Tris, Niko and Glaki after Shatterglass abd before WOTE. Niko's baffment over what to do with Glaki and the sad results, and Tris feeling that she's lost her by having her come to Discipline...it's all brilliantly thought out. And Daja seems like just the right person for her to talk to about this. And Tris's continued bewilderment at angry superstition is spot on.
also, this? On another woman, they'd have predicted rain. is just clever. Seriously.

I love the way you write Tris. This fits her.

Kit: Tris basically went crazy. It's 99% canon and she was trying to raise a toddler, and we knew, even in Circle of Magic, that Niko useless with kids. Useless.
