Title: Let it Die Rating: G Word Count: 222 Pairing: Circlecest Fight: 1/H Summary: It’s impossible to have a fight without more people getting involved.
“It’s dying.” His sentence was simple, but it was an accusation and condemnation, just the same.
“You know I’m terrible with plants,” Sandry said with a wave of one hand. The look he gave in response was scathing.
“There’s a difference between not being good and neglecting things. Especially when you have strong plant mages you can turn to for help. How would you feel if I let your precious silks get destroyed? At least they’re not alive!”
The silk against Sandry’s breast seemed to quiver in fear and disagreement.
Stop it, thief-boy, Daja’s voice resonated in both their minds. You’ve made your point – you don’t have to belittle her craft. You know that metal and weather and cloth are just as alive to us as plants are.
It’s not the same, Tris replied sharply. And she was dismissive first.
Enough! Sandry barked. Is it possible for two people to have an argument without interference?
Briar snorted, thinking of all the little arguments they’d had with Sandry butting her neb into things, and then sighed. Forget it, he said to all of them. He could almost feel the electric hum in the air – Tris’s anger, of course – and waited for it to subside a bit. The bulbs can still be planted for next year – plant dead isn’t always the same as people-dead.

Love this. The last part, especially.

This seemed like a perfect snatch of their lives together. Great job on the characters; they were completely believable.

I'm giggling at their combined nosiness.
