Title: The Greatest Trick, (3) Rating: G Word Count: 218 Pairing: Raoul/Sabine Round/Fight: 1/G Summary: Raoul tries to find help to explain his dreams.
Numair Salmalin listened carefully to Raoul’s desperate tale. The knight had all but stumbled into his workroom, eyes bloodshot and hands trembling, but after he explained that he’d been experiencing recurring dreams, Nuamir could only his head. “I’m not sure I can help you,” he said kindly. “Dream magic isn’t my area. Perhaps someone else can help.”
Raoul rubbed his tired eyes. “None, Numair. They’ve suggested everything, but it’s nothing they recognize. These dreams don’t come every night, they aren’t sent by someone, they have no physical affect other than my sleep deprivation. You’re my last hope.”
Raoul wondered if he should mention that it was always the same woman in his dreams, a striking face with large expressive sorrowful eyes that reproached even as they searched frantically for something missing. Him.
He concentrated all of his might to remember her name, (didn’t it start with an S? Sara, maybe, Saphira, or Sabine, yes, that sounded right), and he thought he had it when Numair spoke again and interrupted the name that had begun to form on his lips.
Numair tapped his chin thoughtfully. “Let me see what I can find, Raoul. I shall rummage around my collections to see if I can find a reference to recurring dreams.”
The large knight sighed. “Thank you. I appreciate any assistance.”

If he doesn't find Sabine, I'd be perfectly willing to give him a great big hug. Poor big guy.
