Title: Jealousy And Hate, 7 Rating: PG-13 Word Count: 201 Pairing: Raoul/Sabine Round/Fight: 1/G Summary: Sabine dances with another man and Raoul is jealous. A/N: Part 7 of ATGB Warning: Mentions drinking.
Sabine wasn’t sure if she wanted to smack him over the head or take the offered rose and preserve it in a book for forever. So she opted for something in between, tucking the rose into her hair and dragging him back to the ball.
Raoul assumed she meant to make him dance and be sociable. He wondered if this was his punishment for being too bold with that flower. Curse Gary.
He soon decided that he would have readily danced with her had he known the alternative. A well-dressed, dark-haired and snobbish looking noble swept Sabine away as they entered the room, spinning her onto the dance floor with a grace that defied nature. Raoul knew the instant he’d laid eyes on the man that he did not care for him. Rage boiled inside him, and he grabbed a drink from the nearest squire.
“I think he’s the King.” Gary appeared by his side. “So you’d be better off not challenging him—don’t deny it, it’s written all over that terrifying scowl of yours.”
Raoul finished his drink and took another.
“If it makes you feel any better, she doesn’t seem to like him any more than you do.”
