"Raoul, I think you've had too much to drink," Buri said softly, pressing her hands up against his chest. It was the drink, and her wearing this dress. That was all. But the fluttering feeling in her stomach didn't go away, and when he looked down at her - dark eyes sad and probing and more sober than she could handle - the hard exterior that she had clung to for so many years seemed to fall to pieces. When he leaned toward her slowly, giving her plenty of time to turn away if she wished to, she felt it was only natural to meet his lips halfway.
