Watch any sports? Who's your team/player?
Play any sports?
***
I am a huge fan of Motorsports, both bikes and cars, but by far my favourite is Formula One racing! Have been watching quite literally all my life and currently support the BrawnGP team and driver Giancarlo Fisichella (have supported him since 1997). I also love Tennis, after MANY years of hating it. I think my current love of it can be blamed on Roger Federer just being amazing to watch (and a friend who told me to watch as there was a LOT of cute players, she wasn't wrong!).
I don't play anything, far too lazy for that! If I had the chance I would love to take up something random like Rock Climbing and I do enjoy going Ice Skating, though I've not taken any lessons so I pretty much suck (stopping remains elusive!).

I'm into my soccer, mostly. I watch the English Premier League and I support Manchester United! I never used to like soccer though, being in Australia it's not exactly a sport that was major as I was growing up! I also follow Aussie Rules Football! And my team is Adelaide.. Though I'm sure most of you don't even know anything of Aussie Rules!

I am a big fan of rugby players. I've been to see England play twice at Twickenham, most recently against Scotland in the last Six Nations. My favourite player is Josh Lewsey, but he's retiring at the end of the season, unfortunately! (should add that I don't know half the rules, but enjoy watching it nonetheless )

Motorsports! I prefer NASCAR to Formula One (mmm, Southern boys), but I haven't followed it for years.
Outside of that and the Olympics ... I fail at interest in sports. *G*

College (American) football is my weakness. Big Ten, predominantly, with a definitely soft-spot for the often-overrated Ohio State Buckeyes. (it's my alma mater!)
I also love hockey, with my 3 teams of choice being the Red Wings, Bluejackets and Penguins.
I'll pretty much watch any sports, though. And the Olympics is always wonderful.

Oooh I forgot a long lasting love for Rugby (players) as well Rosie! Right back from the early 90's, still have a deep love for Kyran Bracken (I have a thing about scrum half's!).
Candice, I've never really gotten into Nascar (or IRL for that matter), the use of mainly oval's doesn't grab my attention - I did see one last year on a road course that I really enjoyed though - it's similar to touring car racing in many ways (I am very much into the World Touring Car Championship, so much so going to my third race this year).

Oh, win ;D I'm more of an Austin Healey girl myself, but I thoroughly appreciated the recent Cosmo centrefold Bracken just did. Er, from a sports fan's perspective, of course...

Any basketball fans?
The postseason starts today! And my lovely Cave/LeBron are in it! They're against Detroit. I'm pretty excited. We're going all the way this year.
I used to play basketball, but my school doesn't have a team this year, so I'm doing dance instead. I suck at it, but it's exercise and it's fun!

I swim. My sister does, also. She actually has a college scholarship to swim, and went to the NAIA Nationals this year (she is a frosh in college).
I will watch pretty much any sport on except for racing and golf. I just cannot get into them all that well.

I guess I'm fitting Canadian sterotype here loving hockey but it's so hard not to!
I'm super excited the Canucks have made it it the play offs! Head of the divison too! We've won our last two games and hopefully the streak will continue! GO CANUCKS GO! STANLEY CUP 2009!

I totally would not complain if the Cancuks got the cup.
I'm excited that my hometeam (Bluejackets) are no longer the ONLY team who hasn't made it to the playoffs. Maybe *some* day a Stanley Cup will be theirs.

GO RED WINGS! (Sorry Q.) I love hockey and the Wings are my favorite team. I'm actually really happy about the playoffs this year-- Columbus is a good story, and I'm sorta glad the Central division as a whole is succeeding. The Canucks and Sharks are the favorites of two of my good friends, and Khabubulin (Chicago), Tortorella (New York), and Dandenault (Montreal) are favorites of mine. Gosh, I think the only team in the playoffs I DON'T like (at least a little) is Calgary!
I'm also a football fan, cheering for the University of Michigan and (siiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiigh) the Detroit Lions.

LOL! No need to apologize. Before the Jackets came into being, Detroit was my team o' choice - so I'm happy with this first round no matter what. ;D See, HERE is where I expect an apology! (just kidding!)

HOCKEY!!! The only sport I enjoy watching, save for the occasional soccer game. My brother plays roller hockey, and my whole family are devoted Sharks fans with a little bit of Penguin love from my mom's family. The next playoff game is tonight, and I'm hoping it won't be the last, since (despite their being top in the NHL right now!!!) the Sharks have won only two out of the last five games to Anaheim.

I think I'm genetically required to like hockey, though I don't get to see as much as I would like. Don't really follow any teams in the NHL (being the wrong side of the atlantic and all that). My Grandfather was a BIG fan of the Toronto Maple Leaf's (Leaf's? Leaves? I have no idea!) so I sort of grew up aware of them. I have been to a couple of games of our local team over here (Guildford Flames) and absolutely loved them!

I like watching rugby, and I support the All Blacks (national NZ team), and the Crusaders (team for my region).

GO CANUCKS GO!
Canucks have made it to the second round. The series is tied with the Chicago Blackhawks, game one going to Vancouver, game two going to Chicago. It's currently game three, going into third peroid with Canucks 3 Blackhawks 1. Come on boys don't choke! Win the game, win the series, win the cup! GO CANUCKS GO!

*high fives Fatey* Yay for our stereotype!
I usually don't follow Hockey much these days but when I do I go with the Oilers but when they fail to get into the finals I cheer for any Canadian team! So I join in with Fate, GO CANUCKS GO!!!
Other than that I follow the NFL and CFL, I'm a big football fan. I used to play it for four years and the love of the game just stuck with me. It's the Packers and Eskies for me.

For those who follow AFL, I'm a Carlton supporter.
Even though they have a tendency to loose and Fevola's goal kicking has no consistency.

*sniffs*
Canucks have lost the series and are out of the playoffs. The series was tied 2-2 at game four but Chicago took game five and six.
You did well boys, and there's always next year.
