As an American, coffee culture is something of a birthright for me, but tea remains one of my favorite things to drink. I love English & Irish breakfast tea with milk and sugar, masala chai, earl & lady grey, white, green, jasmine, iced, flavored, rooibos, mate (even though they don't come from the tea plant) - if it's hot leaf juice, I love it.
I still drink coffee (even prefer it, sometimes) but yeah. ♥ tea.
Y'all?

I love a nice cup of tea when I'm tired I've never been able to stand coffee. Orange pekoe is my favorite

Orange pekoe is tasty.
(Coffee requires at least a tablespoon of sugar and three of milk before I can drink it; I've never had truly amazing black coffee.)

Tea!
As a Canadian - and one living, perhaps, in one of the regions where 'leftover' British influence has hung on the strongest - I have a bit of a cultural 'birthright' to tea.
- Orange pekoe is good. Also, just the smell of it reminds me of supper time at my grandparents'. Prefer it with milk and a small amount of sugar. - Green is okay, but I don't think the last cup I had was brewed properly - it tasted like water. - Peppermint tea is <3. - Earl Grey isn't served here, commonly - unless you ask for different, it's orange pekoe, under various brand names - so I've never tried it. - English and Irish breakfast teas are usually expensive, so I haven't tried them either, even though I want to.
I have to say, though (I think this may be a regional thing; dunno) that tea served with cream instead of milk? Is gross.
Also, coffee. I admit it, I like a cappucino every once in a while, but 'real' coffee? Nope. It smells okay, but I don't think I could drink it.

I was basically living on tea a few months ago, but for me it's like a recurring phase that goes between obsession and "eh, too much work" (yes, that is a pathetic show of laziness).
I believe in Chinese tea <3

I <3 tea. I usually have at *least* two cups of caffeinated tea by the time I get to school in the morning (7:45). Most of the time it's green, simply because we don't have a whole lot of caffeinated tea in my house aside from that. I love earl grey and English breakfast. I love tea with a sort of citrus undertone. Peppermint is fabulous and I've been known to drink a whole box of it in two days. My wonderful sister bought me teas for Channukah including a cinnamon chai that I love to drink with milk. Basically, I just love tea.

I'm not a fan of tea, even though I'd like to be. I do love chai. My friend gave me some chai from a box (?) that you mix with milk, so it's probably not even close to authentic, but it really made me want to like tea more.

I'm not a massive fan of either tea or coffee, to be honest, (I'm not big on hot drinks unless it's winter) but I do drink and like tea more than coffee. I do green tea reasonably often, and when I do, it's usually several cups in a day. Other types of tea I tend to just drink occasionally though. Chai, I usually only drink in a social setting or if I'm sick (with ginger). But I make it heaps, cos my 'rents like the way I brew it.

It's English Breakfast for me. Although every now and then I like a vanilla flavored one.
Although I'm much more of a coffee and hot chocolate person. White hot chocolate FTW!

Oh yummmm hot chocolate.
But I also do love tea. I drink quite a bit of green and peppermint, especially when I'm working on uni stuff (coughallnighterscough, shhhh don't tell). I want to try rosehip and some more lemony types. I also like strange varieties--one of the favourites I've had is blueberry and vanilla!
Coffee I can stand but it's generally less coffee and more "cream and sugar with a side of coffee" given I take French Vanilla Coffeemate AND far too much sugar. In the end it's more worthwhile for me to just drink tea, given I can drink that plain or with milk or with milk and sugar. =).
(The strangest part is that I won't drink hot drinks--I have to let them cool down, and when I'm in a hurry I cheat. Yes, I use the ice cube trick. Hide me from the crowds, folks! Laughter.)

Speaking as an honorary Southerner, there is absolutely no shame in iced tea. Especially in good iced tea.
(omg this thai restaurant I used to go to made iced tea with - I kid you not - popcorn notes. It was so so good and I can't find it anywhere.)

Oh, certainly, Iced Tea is fabulous!
My problem is that I cheat with hot tea to cool it down--just plop in a few ice cubes to drop the temperature when I'm impatient and don't want to let it sit there properly to cool down, giggles.

Iced tea is something I've never been able to get behind; of course, I haven't had it since I was small, so I might have to try it again.

I adore iced tea, but when I make it myself, it tastes funny ( very funny, I might add), but the shop-bought stuff is waayyy too expensive to drink on the scale that I'd like to! I think my favourite tea is jasmine-flavoured green, with a little honey. Chai, anyone?

Chai is awesome. (Chai also means "tea" in at least two languages - I think you're thinking of masala chai, milk tea with spices?)

I do the same thing with the ice cubes, and then my tea gets all watery and ick.
I like unsweetened green tea- my piano teacher is Japanese and once brought me back a box of matcha (?) green tea and I was in heaven for a couple of weeks until it was all drank. (Drunk?)
And I like Earl Grey and English Breakfast. Irish Breakfast is also good, though a little too strong unless I put sugar in it.
Chai always tastes good but the smell is just too strong for me.

At work I drink Rooibos by the BUCKET load, I love it so much. At home it's probably English Breakfast Tea I drink the most.
I also drink coffee by the gallon as well, I love a freshly brewed black coffee with just a little bit of sugar.

Laughter. I think I've been lucky with my tea--I don't end up with watery and icky.
Oh, Chai! I absolutely adore chai. I haven't had it in far too long.

Personally, I can stand neither the taste nor the smell of tea. I love the smell of coffee, but do not like the taste of it, either. hot cocoa ♥

I live on tea. English Breakfast with milk and one sugar (Or mint tea, if possible...) I did try coffee once, since it smelt nice, but found it very bitter.

Chai always tastes good but the smell is just too strong for me. People put sugar in green tea? Omg!! Matcha! I so want to try that, but I can't find it here. I think sometimes people put lots of cinnamon in it. :S I absolutely cannot drink store bought chai, or the stuff in cafes for that reason.

When I was training myself off soda, I went to white tea with three tablespoons of sugar and gradually reduced the sweetening until I was drinking it plain - when I first started I needed a ton of sugar in everything.
(there is appx 3T sugar in a can of soda, in the form of HFCS.)

I don't like tea at all, but I do love coffee and hot chocolate. Not such a fan of plain coffee though, I prefer things like mochas and vanilla lattes. Apparently they're really bad for you though.

I wouldn't say they're really bad for you. It's the dairy and sugar that really does you in, but they're are options to make it more figure friendly. Ask for non-fat milk, ask for sugar free syrup, ask for no or easy whipped cream.
You might also try a coffee misto with you favorite syrup. A coffee misto is half brewed coffee and half steamed milk. Add some vanilla or mocha to that and you have a yummy alternative.

I did try coffee once, since it smelt nice, but found it very bitter. Black coffee = eurgh... My coffees usually consist of about 3 teaspoons of sugar (don't tell my mum, though!) and 1 part coffee to about 3 parts milk... As a result, I stick to green tea. Apparently if you have 4-5 cups of green tea a day, you lsoe fo the risk of developing cancer by 80%. Pretty good news for green-tea lovers!

I am very picky with drinks I don't like the taste of most tea's or coffee and I never even drank milk (except for in hot chocolate) even before I developed lactose intolerance. But I do like peppermint tea and various Fruit infusions/fruit teas that include no 'real tea' whatsoever. I especially love the Twinings Fruit Infusions but they are very hard to get in my country - I either have to drive over to another City with a British specialities shop and pay a lot, or ask the next person to visit the UK to bring some back for me - well I also buy some whenever I am in the UK, as it is not that far and I go pretty often. One of the greatest fruit infusion teas from Twinings is Mango, Orange & Cinnamon, I am also quite a fan of Raspberry, Strawbery & Loganberry as well as Lemon Burst - and the other variations are very good too. I also adore a German tea called 'Suesser Teufel' (Sweet devil) - tasting like raspberry and chili.
