The Competitions Mods are deciding on the word limit for the Drabble Tournament and we'd like your opinion.
While we realise a drabble is strictly 100 words, we are happy to take a more open approach and allow up to 250 words, if participants prefer that. Or we can compromise and have two separate categories.
If we have a standard word limit, prizes will be awarded within the prompt categories. If we have two word limits, prizes will be awarded on word limit categories regardless of prompt.
Results will be made public after the poll is locked.

(There's a third option that didn't strike me until seeing the poll - a category for 100-word drabbles and a second for up to 250-word shortshorts. Which is really helpful to say after the poll has gone live, I know. )

That's actually what I would prefer as well. I like the idea of that when writing a drabble, you are challenged to write exactly 100 words. I wouldn't mind separate categories, but I'd rather have them based on being either a drabble or not a drabble-- so that a 50 word ficlet and a 250 word ficlet are in a separate category from the exactly-100-words drabble.

Actually I don't mind the idea of a 100 words category and an up-to-250 words but not 100 words category.
