Alanna and Kel both jumped, sending a wave of water out of the bathtub.
“Gods, George. You should know better than to sneak up on me by now.”
George grinned. “I think the pressing issue here is how Keladry got her breasts so dirty.”
Alanna grinned back at him and dunked her hands in the water to rinse the soap off. “I was just making sure she was clean.” She laughed at the look on Kel’s face. “Shoo, George. You’re embarrassing her.”
George chuckled. “You lasses have fun, then. I’ll see you later.”
Kel stared at the door after he shut it. “He knows?” she whispered.
“He knows,” confirmed Alanna. “I didn’t even have to tell him, he just knew.”
“And he doesn’t mind?”
Alanna grinned. “I have the best husband in all of Tortall.”

I've actually always thought it would be awesome to have the Goodwin's daughter get together with Beka's son, and Verasque wrote it! I'll find it for you, because I love it. Here it is: Ain't She Something, Son?.

If that didn't happen, I'd love for Alanna to have been descended from Tom and Clary! Alanna and Clary remind me quite a bit of each other.

Also, Clary has dark hair and Tom has blue eyes. If they had a daughter, she'd be just a few years younger than the prince who is getting kidnapped in Mastiff, and Clary might be involved a bit with that too somehow, so her daughter could get to know the prince! Wouldn't it be awesome if they were the source of the infamous Conte features from Alanna's time?
