Title: A Brief History of Tortall Rating: G Length: 154 words Competitor: Wyldon Round/Fight: A/1 Summary: Kel wants to hear about the past.
"And he really died that time?"
"Really and truly," Wyldon confirmed with a wry smile. "Duke Roger was the most dead you have ever seen anybody. Now that I have obliged you, Keladry-" He noticed the slight shiver as he spoke her full name, and filed it away for future reference. "-Will you tell me the real reason we are out here? I can hardly think that the need for brushing up on your recent history skills is so pressing that you need to do so during one of the King's balls."
Her cheeks flushed. "Raoul taught me that balls were a waste of time," she demurred, "and that I'd be far better off learning something instead of attending them."
"If you're following Lord Raoul's advice on social events, I suppose I should be grateful that you had the presence of mind to step outside instead of concealing yourself behind drapery," Wyldon said dryly.

Hahahaha! Adorable - I love the undertones, and Wyldon's last line was just perfect. I got shivers myself. I love that he noticed that, and thought something of it. And maybe will use it later
