Title: Love Rating: PG Length: 128 words Competitor: Wyldon Round/Fight: 1/A Summary: Wyldon doesn't need telling. Part of the 'New Hope Proxy' drabble series.
---
Sometimes, Kel wondered if he felt the same way she did, or if she was just a convenient bedwarmer. Neither said anything of their growing feelings out loud, but there were signs, little things that nobody else could see.
It was in the way Kel's favourite dishes were always prepared when she went to Fort Mastiff, or how a second flag pole carried the Cavall flag alongside Kel's when he visited the refugee camp. Then there were the little perches Wyldon put in her quarters at Mastiff, disguised as decorative shelves, for the sparrows to rest on when she visited.
Love was a forbidden word, like so many were between them. But she knew he loved her, because she knew what it cost him to be with her.
