Title: 5 Kisses
Rating: PG13
Summary: Kel/Seaver. Because they're becoming my pet pairing, and I'm procrastinating desperately.
1
He likes to bring her flowers. When she opens her door he's standing there; flowers in hand, wearing that half-grin that makes her pulse quicken and her palms sweat. She teases him about it, but when he raises an eyebrow and moves to take the flowers back she laughs and doesn't let go.
Kel has come to realise that it's little things like this that make her happy.
When she invites him in, he leans in to kiss her, slow and long. It doesn't matter who see them anymore, because in comparison to this feeling, nothing matters at all.
2
Seaver kisses with his eyes. The anticipation makes Kel want to, to do something, to lean forward and just grab his face in her hands and kiss him until she can't stand up.
But at the same time, she loves it. The way his eyes lock with hers, burning into her eyes with an intensity that thrills her and sometimes frightens her. The distance between them closes so slowly, and still his eyes are on hers.
Finally, his mouth reaches hers. She closes her eyes, letting the bliss wash over her, and even though she can't see and is lost in his kiss - she knows that his eyes are still on her, eating up every part of her.
3
In the morning, Kel wakes up before he does. He looks rather ridiculous when he sleeps. It makes her smile.
When he wakes up and notices her trying to contain a grin, he just messes up her hair and pulls her body closer to his. A perfect fit. He kisses her cheek and goes back to sleep.
4
They try not to kiss when they're around their friends. It's the absence of those kisses though - the fact that they both want to - that drives their friends crazy. When Neal catches them exchanging looks for the hundredth time, he yells out, "For Mithros sake, just kiss her!" and Seaver grins, and then he does.
5
Goodbye. Every time it's different. Sometimes it's long and slow, filled with torment; sometimes it's quick and fierce, like pulling out an arrow as painlessly as possible. Most of the time, though, it's a reminder: a sweet reminder that when they meet again, there'll be a hello kiss...and many more to follow.
