Title: Two Live as One Rating: G Length: 219 Competitor: Wyldon Round/Fight: 1/A Summary: Sometimes romance is in the every-day.
“I wish I didn’t have to go back to Corus,” Kel said climbing up into Peachblossom’s saddle.
“You don’t have to,” Wyldon said, gazing up at her. The morning sun behind her head made him squint.
“Actually, I sort of do,” she replied with a laugh. “When the knight commander of the King’s Own requests your help, it’s not polite to refuse.”
“Goldenlake wouldn’t know polite if it hit him on the head.”
“That’s because polite doesn’t hit people on the heads, Wyldon. Now stop stalling – I have to leave.” She let go of the reins with one hand, reaching down to him. “I don’t know when I’ll be able to come back here,” she said softly.
He took her hand and squeezed it gently. “You could marry me, and make this the normal instead of the exceptional.”
Kel’s breath caught in her throat when she attempted to respond. “I-I could,” she finally said. Her calm voice was betrayed by how tightly she held on to his hand. “Are you sure?”
“Keladry, a man doesn’t propose marriage unless he’s rather certain.”
“I’d love to,” she said. “We’ll work out the details when I get back, unless I see you in Corus!” Releasing his hand, she took up the reins and urged Peachblossom toward the winding road out of Cavall.

Bahaha I love it - Wyldon manages to make it a little romantic and yet very practical. And I love Kel's comment about polite not being able to hit anyone on the head

Thank you! I see K/W as a perfect balance between a little romantic and very practical.

I love this! I was going to quote the same line as the other two (and yes, Raoul can be very rude!!). What a great way to propose!
