The two women weren’t aware of the way they circled each other around the edges of the ballroom. If Lady Knight Keladry was by the doors to the terrace, Lady Vivenne was near the dais where the thrones were situated. Kel occasionally threw the older woman curious glances, trying to find out what kind of woman Lord Wyldon had married so long ago, and if the passion still existed. Vivenne studied the knight through long lashes as she sipped her wine, wondering how this girl had stolen the attention – and perhaps affection? – of her husband.
Lord Wyldon, for what it was worth, was completely oblivious.
