Wyldon eyed Neal speculatively. It was his experience that the Queenscove boy could never restrict himself to just the one word, when he could think of eight or nine to add alongside it. Nevertheless, he nodded his assent.
"It's about Kel."
Wyldon had expected as much. He folded his arms across his chest, and remained silent.
"She's not used to - she's not - she's not like most women. She's an idealist. And I swear, if you ever-"
"Queenscove," Wyldon cut in mildly, not in the mood to watch him flounder. "I recommend that you work on your footwork before challenging somebody - much less the man who taught you - to a duel."
