Wyldon had never been one for dramatics. He never understood how it was those Player-types managed to seduce all the pretty ladies, when it was clear that they would break their hearts once they had grown bored of them. Indeed, Wyldon's had been the shoulder many ladies had cried on after their hearts had been broken. Yet none of them had found his loyalty or understanding worthy of their love.
And now, as he watched Queenscove's cousin flirt skilfully with Keladry, he scowled, urging Heart forward to catch up with them. He was not going to let her heart be broken by some Player.
