She'd known this was coming, known that he was too honourable in the end to let this continue. She'd known that she should be more honourable, and stronger, and have ended this sooner. It hadn't been a good idea to get tangled in the sheets of a married man.
Kel nodded, biting down on the inside of her cheek. When she found she was able to hold back the tears and keep her voice in check, she replied, "I wouldn't expect you to."
It was true. He wouldn't be the man she wanted if he deserted his family.
