Title: Dress Rating: G Length: 168 Competitor: Wyldon Round/Fight: 1/A Summary: In which Kel wears a dress.
- - -
Not since she was a page has Wyldon seen Keladry in a dress. So when he and King Jonathan pay a visit to the new refugee camp, he is surprised to see her out of her usual tunic and breeches. The dress itself is simple, a pale green cotton shift, but it fits her perfectly. A green ribbon is tied into her hair, accentuating the green in her hazel eyes.
Wyldon can't deny that she doesn't look pretty in the dress. Indeed, that is the problem. He can see the other men's eyes drawn to her, noticing the soft curves of her body under the thin material. The dress reminds them that she's also a woman, not just a knight, not just their commander. And worse, the dress makes him realise that she is not just his former pupil, not just a knight, not just another soldier under his command. It makes him appreciate that she has become a woman in her own right, a beautiful, desirable woman.

Eee, I love the tinges of jealous!Wyldon. (tinges are better than all-out jealousy, I say!)

I love this! Especially because she used to intentionally wear dresses to remind people what sex she is.

Thank you!! @ Rosie - I thought that too, although in this instance I like to think it was Fanche insisting that a lady should at least be wearing a skirt when she sees the king rather than a statement on Kel's part.
