Title: Favorite Drink Rating: PG Length: 150 words Competitor: Raoul of Goldenlake and Malorie's Peak Round/Fight: 1/C Summary: Kel intoxicates him.
Being with her was much like when he had had one to many glasses of wine. She filled his scenes, slowing his thoughts and throwing him into a frivolous, wild state. He had trouble controlling himself around her, had trouble resisting her if in his presence. She was tantalizing, enticing, a drink so strong, he lost all of himself to her. He was no longer the Knight Commander of the King’s Own, but a bumbling fool, completely subservient to her. She was his drug, his need, his addiction. And just like his addiction to alcohol, he would have to break ties with her as well. She was bad for him, and he knew that, that the entire relationship was doomed to failure. But he had only been subject to two mistresses in his life, and he quite liked waking up after a night with her better then his with last.

Thanks so much! I was think I was going to strictly be for Neal in this one and then the plot bunnies attacked. I still think the last line is a little confusing, but I couldn't think how to rephrase it.

*squee* I loved it, the style and choice of words are perfect for the subject, it all sort of flows and I can picture him trying to resist her and failing. Great writing!
