Standing on the balcony she spots him sitting alone. She wishes she could go to him, to comfort him. She can, in a way but it’s not the way she wants. She wants to hold him, she wants to take away his pain.
SHE left him; she doesn’t deserve him if she can’t see how special he is. On the outside he may be a big tough giant-killer, but on the inside he is a like everyone else. Longing for comfort, longing for love.
They are so alike and have always understood each other; even when she was a Squire, she admired him. From that it unknowingly grew - until this moment.
Now that she knows what she’s feeling, she only has to work up the courage to act on it.
She stands there, running though all the reasons to go over to him and all the reasons not to.
Kel sticks out her chin, squares her shoulders and decides to act; “Why not, you only live once”.
