Competitor: Faleron
Round/Fight: 1/B
Summary: After the fight with hill bandits Kel needs some reassurance, and Faleron needs some sun.
Kel couldn't take much more of it. None of the snide comments of Joren and his crew, or the adoring looks of Owen and his year mates. Not after the fight with the bandits at least. She walked off from their camp, just a little ways, to find Faleron leaning against a tree, eyes closed, savoring the quiet and the warmth of the afternoon. Sitting down next to him, she sighed. He didn’t responded but allowed her to join he, moving so she could face the sun with him.
After a good number of minutes he broke the science. “ Even if you don’t want to hear it, you saved our skins back there, Kel. Really, I’m not just flattering” he stopped her, sensing her dissent without even opening his eyes. “Wyldon would be insane to still think you weak after that.” He stopped talking and went back to basking.
She smiled slightly, happy to know her friends knew her that well. She lay her hand in the grass, plucking at strands without really focusing. “That means more than you can know Faleron, really. I’m sick of people either thinking its a lie, or that it makes me a God.”
He chuckled slightly, a sound she realized she quite liked. “I can testify to the truth of it all, I like like you quite a bit better as a human than as a God.” She laughed with him, blushing slightly as he covered her hand with his.
The two stayed for quite some time, enjoying the sun and the warmth of a changing relationship.
