Title: Fire
Rating: G
Length: 255
Competitor: Faleron
Round/Fight: 1/B
Summary: It's hard to say goodbye.
They are a passionate pair, though their friends wouldn’t know it. They hide it well: the bruises, the fervent looks, the red mouths and bloodied lips.
The only disadvantage to a relationship such as theirs was that their passion worked both ways. When they fought, they fought hard. Kel liked to throw things. Faleron thought it was due to years of training her face to be a mask; all that emotion had to go somewhere. Her anger would spring from nowhere, and she would grab whatever was in reach. In the heat of her anger, she would delight in the fact that it was something of his. But Faleron didn’t mind, which only infuriated her more. He was a passive fighter, remaining calm and apparently unfeeling until she reached her limit. Then he would suddenly explode, saying something insulting and true, something that couldn’t be taken back. He fed off her anger.
Passion made it exciting to love, and easy to hate. But what was most difficult was saying goodbye. Sometimes, Kel would open her door, eyes sore and red from unshed tears, to find him standing there with a sorrowful look on his face. She always took him back.
And sometimes, he would get up in the middle of a sleepless night to find her standing silently outside his door. He would always take her in, with no questions.
Maybe they would burn themselves out, one day. Loving too fiercely can do that. But until then, their actions were only tinder for the fire.
