Title: Devotion Rating: G Length: 112 Competitor: Raoul Round/Fight: 1/C Summary: She’s a creature of many worlds.
His favorite part of the Progress was watching Kel play with her Yamani friends. They tossed their fans – high, low, slow, fast – and their kimonos and fans created a blur of colors. But his eyes remained on Kel, watching her imitate the delicate moves of her friends. They were more graceful, more artful, but she was precise and practical. Goldenlake green stood out against the multi-colored Yamani silk, and brought his eyes back to Kel repeatedly.
She was happy, being this conglomeration of worlds. She was half Yamani, half Tortallan. Half man, half woman. And he would do whatever he could to give her everything she needed to succeed, this out-of-place wonder.

This is so beautiful. I love Raoul's utter devotion to her, and how he sees her as being a product of colliding worlds.
