Summary: Raoul is jealous and wants his own moment alone with Kel
He led Dom’s squad and Kel’s friends away, around a bend where they would await her and Lord Wyldon. But he was less than happy about it.
He remembered her squire years, and the two times they had jousted while on congress, he remembered seeing the almost hidden softness in Wyldon’s eyes as he’d appraised her after each match. They had been friends long enough for him to know what it meant.
And now, after nearly getting her killed, he desired a moment alone with Keladry.
Raoul’s fists clenched unconsciously as Dom and the other’s filled him in on the rest of their mission. He didn’t hear a word of it.
“My Lord?” Dom asked, it didn’t sound like the first time the sergeant had tried to gain his attention.
“Sorry, Dom, I was just… thinking. Carry on.”
Inside he prayed to Mithros Wyldon remembered his honor, his wife and daughters—forgetting that he himself was to marry Buri soon as thoughts of having his own moment alone with the Lady Knight invaded him.
