Title: Necessities Rating: PG Length: 207 Competitor: Faleron Round/Fight: 2/A Summary: You’ve got those, bare necessities, those simple bare necessities.
…
Once she’d thought she was saving him.
That that was why she’d fallen so suddenly and terribly in love.
Because unlike everyone else who’d ever courted her, he had seemed to admire her in battle more than he feared for her, and she had never had that experience before. Cleon who wanted to make a mother out of her. Seaver, who treated her like some kind of a goddess.
Faleron’s attitude had seemed liberating to her, a clear delegation of duties. He would be the perfect knight for both of them, she the perfect warrior.
It wasn’t until news came of the hill country command where he had been wounded that she realised in a sudden rush, everything he had given her (his unconditional support and the respect he has to argue with her, his smiles that pulled her from her worst moods, his scrambled eggs and the soothing way he looks at the world – no masks of Yamani blankness for him, but a serenity and sureness that makes her want to know what he has discovered, some secret trick of life, but he only ever says But you made me this way. I’m like this because of you.)
Everything she had to lose
(Everything she is).

Argh this one makes me kind of speechless, I just can't find the words to say how wonderful it is! I like how she compares Fal to Cleon and Seaver. And your summary cracks me up

Thanks! And I'm glad you appreciated it Felt a bit sorry for Seaver writing this, but he has become a casualty of the insta-plot smackdown bomb.
