Title: Justification Rating: PG-13 Length: 179 Competitor: Faleron Round/Fight: 2/A Summary: We call it justice because it’s just us. Angst and a lot more I wish I could have left to implication. Bah.
…
Why are you doing this? he wants to scream at her, shake an answer from her, cut her open and slide the flesh away from pearly bone to see if there, right in her basic parts, is a reasoning for this he has overlooked. Instead he sits on the bed, watching as she removes clothes from wardrobes and tooth cleaners from washrooms and Yamani cats from window sills (as if he needed the symbolism of his luck running out when it is so blindingly obvious as is). She doesn’t ask for help removing her glaive from his weapons rack, but when she struggles he helps to put it into a case for her. But then his hand is bleeding, slithered by the razor-sharp head, and she grimaces as he wraps his handkerchief around the cut. ‘I’m sorry. You’ve got cut.’ And he finds his voice, a challenge. ‘There are worse ways to hurt.’ Satisfyingly she flinches, as if he has slapped her, and ‘Don’t do this Faleron,’ she pleads. ‘I’m not doing anything –’ But the victory is hollow.

Sad But I always love seeing Kel or Fal when they're angry or upset.
