Title: The First
Rating: PG13
Length:
Competitor: Raoul
Round/Fight: 2/A
Summary: The seduction begins . . .
He had her alone. He was riding home to Goldenlake and Keladry was on her way back to Corus to meet up with her parents then continue with them to Nond to meet her sister, Adalia‘s, new baby. So they decided to ride together. They were a days ride away when they stopped at an Inn. They were given separate rooms, though if things went according to Raouls plan, they wouldn’t need both that night . . .
It started with dinner, Raoul had only water, Kel some wine, reluctantly because she felt bad drinking in front of Raoul. She thought maybe she had drunk a little too much out of nervousness. Something seemed . . . odd and slightly out of place and character. But she couldn’t quite put her finger on it . . .
Then they retired to his room where he wanted to go over some plans for future battles and talk of past ones.
She noticed he sat closer than usual, and could feel the warmth of his thigh against hers. She swallowed, feeling nervous little butterflies begin to flutter. She realised that it was the first time her and Raoul had been alone since the ride to Corus those 4 years ago, for her Ordeal. When she was still his squire . . .
She leaned over the table to reach for something and pretended not to notice as her charm fell from it’s place hidden between her shirt and tunic. She sat back and casually replaced it. ‘Maybe he wont know what it is’ she thought hopefully.
“They’re pretty,” he said.
Kel looked at him. “What are, My Lord?”
“Those pregnancy charms,” he said looking into her eyes. Forget butterflies! There were birds flying around in her stomach and elephants stamping around in her chest.
“Oh, well, you know us woman,” she said with a nervous laugh. “It has to be able to match any occasion”. She looked down, then at the door. It was closed. She took a deep breath and turned to him to find his lips touch hers. Her eyes went wide, as she looked into his. His hands travelled up her arms, raising goose-bumps, and a tickly feeling went through her abdomen and up her chest. He deepened the kiss and closed his eyes, pulling her closer. She closed hers . . .
*******Three days later*******
It was supposed to have cured his desire for her, but instead it had intensified it. He had so much he wanted to teach her. Buri . . . she had experience, she had already been moulded into her ways . . . But Keladry . . . She was fresh and new and had no shape. He thought of himself as a potter making pots, and Keladry his clay. He was moulding her into what HE wanted from a woman in bed. They stayed at the Inn for two days.
But when they parted ways at Goldenlake and he invited her there, she shook her head and didn’t look at him.
Then he saw it. The guilt and regret in her eyes, and he started to feel that regret as well . . . What had he done?
She didn’t even look back as she rode away . . .
