Raoul led her rather congenially from behind the curtain onto the dance floor, puzzling Kel. Had her calling him by his name truly cheered him enough to lure him out of his hiding place? She looked up into his grinning face just as his hand touched her waist.
Which meant that there was no way for him to miss the blush she hadn’t expected and hadn’t been able hide.
Raoul’s grin softened as he began to lead her through the steps, spots of red on his cheeks, confusion glittering in his dark eyes.
“What’s wrong with Buri?” Kel asked through a dry throat.
Raoul blinked.
“I—I’m not certain. Say, it’s terribly stuffy in here—“
“It will only be worse behind the curtain—“
“I know, I—I meant outside… Kel?”
“Um, of course. Outside.”
