Title: The Colour Purple Rating: R Length: 113 Competitor: Raoul Round/Fight: 2/A Summary: Purple is for bruises.
-
Purple is the colour of bruising, thousands of marks that fade into scars over years of endurance. Kel has had more bruises in the past year than she can count on the fingers of both hands together, but there are none like the harsh marks on her arms where he’d held her and on her hips where he’d clung as if she were his last support in the tempest of passion.
When she breathes “is this okay?” into his ear, Raoul lets out a growl. When he mutters back to her she can hear in his voice the strain of holding back, so she whispers “just let go” and he does.
