Kel searched through Raoul’s belt-purse, fumbling for the keys. Raoul lay slumped against the wall, his eyes overbright as she lifted the keys. His body crashed upon hers as she put the key in the lock, almost toppling her over. Steadying them both, she opened the door, hoping to pry the wine bottle out of Raoul’s hand once they were inside. Wrapping an arm around his waist as she closed the door, she pulled him over towards the large bed, his feet tripping over themselves as they moved the few short steps across the room. She moved to push him across the bed, but his arm snaked around her and pulled her to him as he fell on the bed, pinning her under his body.
