Title: Foundations
Rating: G
Length: 363
Competitor: Dom
Round/Fight: 2/B
Summary: Dom tells his mother a little lie, most likely to get the females in his family to stop asking him if he's got anyone he's serious about.
Reading through her letters in her room Kel shuffled through one from her mother and father, they were now back in the islands for a visit. She had one from Raoul as well telling her about their soon movement back to the capitol for winter, and she was also going home as well he said. Winter was as good a time as any for New Hope to test their legs. The last letter she picked up she did not recognize the penmanship on. It was a loose curly script, curiously she opened and began to read.
Dearest Keladry,
Forgive me for not writing sooner, but I had figured you, yourself must have been busy; there is a war to finish after all. My son has told me so much about you. I feel as if we’ve met already. He says the two of you have been courting for over a year. I am constantly berating him to let me meet you but I believe he thinks we’ll drive you away. After all you know Neal, my brother and Dom, how much more of this family could you possibly take. Anyways back to the subject I was writing to you about. As I’m sure you’re aware winter is quickly approaching and I decided to write to you Instead of Domitan this time. I would love if the two of you could make it to our Mid-Winter party we will be holding at out house in the city, it is quite a lovely affair. And I’m sure you will know plenty of people attending. I would sincerely love if you could respond back, I know you’re a busy woman, I’ve been told frequently, but if you could somehow talk my son into coming home I would be eternally grateful.
With Love, hopefully your soon-to-be-mother-in-law;
Magnolia of Masbolle
With shaky hands Kel put down the letter. She couldn’t decide if she was angry or amused. Dom’s mother thought her and Dom were together, and hopefully soon to be married. Stuffing the letter in her pocket she went to find Dom, she didn’t care if he was busy or not, he would be giving her answers.
