Title: Listen to Mother
Rating: PG
Length: 352
Competitor: Dom
Round/Fight: 2/B
Summary: You really should listen . . .
A/N: Not related to the others.
Dom had fallen off the balcony.
Kel had warned him, but she obviously didn’t know what she was talking about. It would have helped if Neal hadn’t been there egging him on.
So a tipsy Domitan of Masbolle had climbed onto the railing of the outside balcony, in the middle of the night, and attempted to walk along it.
So there really was no surprise from her end when he fell off.
Her and Neal looked at each other then rushed down to save him.
“Are you happy now?” Kel asked when she saw him lying there, eyes open and a dumb smile on his face.
“Mush be drunkered than I taught . . . Dint feel a think,”
“You didn’t feel a think, Dom, because you don’t think, obviously,” Kel told him, helping him up.
“Oh, broken arm,” Neal said.
“Good,” Kel said.
“You know, Dom, the next time Mother says not to do something you really should listen,” Neal had the cheek to tell him.
“Don’t think your getting off scot free, Neal,” Kel said.
“It’s really not that sore,” Dom insisted.
“No pain, no brain,” Kel muttered under her breath.
“We’ll get him to the infirmary and I’ll see what I can do,” Neal said.
******
Neal did what he could and then they left.
“There you are!” an indignant Yuki said, striding down the hallway. She stopped when she saw the splint on Dom’s arm. “What happened?”
“Dom and Neal with alcohol and a balcony,” Kel said.
“Oh, enough said,” Yuki replied. “Well, I need to steal him back. Good luck,” she said dragging Neal off by the arm. “What did you do now?” Kel heard her asking Neal.
She sighed and looked at Dom.
“I’m off to bed,” she said.
“OK, I’ll come along,” he said.
“Pardon?” Kel asked.
“Now that third wheel meathead is gone, we can carry on where we left off,” he said, leaning in for a kiss.
“I don’t think you’ll be doing much with a broken arm, Dom,” she said breathlessly.
“Then you’ll have to do it for me . . .”
