Raoul wasn’t sure why he was following her. She was dangerous. Kel was dangerous. He’d always known she was a force to be reckoned with, and had always appreciated being able to call her his friend. Once, he’d even considered her to be the daughter he’d never had. But opinions change. She could never be a daughter to him anymore, and he wasn’t sure where they stood with their friendship. None of it mattered. Perhaps it should, what had happened the other day… That had been more than just sex—in the physical sense, because emotionally it had been nothing more than lust. He could still feel the puncture wounds on his neck, two small holes and a bruise shaped like teeth. But he wanted more, and when her voice had sounded in his mind he was quick to get up and follow her calls... this way…
