Whenever Neal’s hand brushed hers a jolt of electricity flowed through her body. It did not take much to send her body into hyper drive; a nudge could fluster her for hours. Kel didn’t know whether these little touches were intentional or not, and the mystery was killing her.
Did Neal care for her? Was he trying to signal that there was something more, something that needed to be explored? Kel desperately searched for the answers, looking for the smallest of clues.
What were the purposes of his jokes? Did he want to amuse her, or did they have nothing to do with her? Did he try to be so curst annoying all the time? Was that how he tried to impress her, to get attention?
Kel stared glumly out the window. If it weren’t for the touches, her mind wouldn’t be in such a maze. But no matter what she told herself, Kel knew that she wouldn’t give Neal up for the world.
