Title: Spiders

Kel lay awake in her cot, waiting for sleep to come knocking. She looked around the room, and saw that the rest of the pages were asleep. She rolled over and saw a rather large spider standing ominously on her pillow. She let out a small shriek before slapping her hand over her mouth and looking around to see if she had waken any pages. The last thing she needed was the pages believe that she was afraid of a silly spider.
Unfortunately for Kel, Owen’s eyes shot open, and he rushed to your side. “Kel,” he asked, his voice anxious, “Are you okay?”
Kel tried to smile. “Just a spider,” she said, “It surprised me, that’s all.”
“I’ll kill it for you, Kel,” he offered. Owen then proceeded to smack the spider repeatedly with a shoe until it resembled an ink blot.
Kel grinned. “Thanks, Owen,” she said, “Now let’s go to bed.”
