Summary: Owen makes a confession to Neal
“I think I’m in love with Kel,” Owen blurted out.
He’d never been good at keeping things to himself, and once he’d realised it, he’d simply had to tell somebody. Problem was, he now wasn’t sure that Neal had been the right person to tell.
“Oh?” Neal asked languidly, though his body language belied his casual tone as he tensed. “Why do you think that?”
“I can’t stop thinking about her – I dream about her-”
“Well, if that’s all it takes, I’m a fair way to being in love with Sir Alanna,” Neal said, cutting across Owen sharply. “Do you think Yuki should be worried?”
Owen rubbed his eyes. “I guess not,” he said, subdued.
Neal got to his feet, and clapped Owen on the back. “Hurt her, and I’ll take your ears,” he said cheerfully. “I’ve been thinking about starting up a collection.”
