Title: Fools In Love Rating: G Length: 120 words Character: Wyldon Summary: Fools in love, is there any creature more pathetic? (inspired by the song by Inara George)
“You make me feel foolish,” he says one evening. She pauses, belt knife in one hand, whetstone in the other. “What do you mean?” Her words come out of her mouth reluctantly, like his usually are. “Your youth, your vitality.” He doesn’t look at her, but studies the dog in his lap and continues to scratch a torn ear. “I look at myself and feel ridiculous for falling in love with you.” Kel resumes sharpening the knife, and for a while the only sound in the room is the long strokes of steel on stone. “So you admit that it’s love?” she asks, her voice low. “Yes.” “Good. Because sometimes I feel foolish for falling in love with you, too.”

♥ This is full of quiet prettiness. I love how their "declarations" of love aren't at all declarations, but simple fact - it's exactly how I see them!

Thank you!! I think one of the appealing factors of K/W is how quiet and sensible it would be, even while deeply passionate. ♥

Another song from your Kel/Wyldon playlist? This is very sweet--I love how she doesn't aknowledge his feeling foolish, but the fact that he loves her. Good writing!

Yep, there are 86 songs on the playlist. (don't worry - I haven't written fics for all of them. I'd die.) Thanks!!

I love that he feels confident enough to tell her what he feels while she's sharpening a knife
