Title: Defending Her Honor Rating: PG Length: 148 Character: Wyldon Summary: George probably should’ve stayed out of it… inspired by Rilo Kiley’s “Portions for Foxes”.
“You’re going to be called onto the courts by my wife, if you figure on continuin’ this madness, you know,” the baron of Pirate’s Swoop warns him.
Wyldon says nothing, frowning.
“I understand what it’s like to have a pretty young thing flirtin’ and tellin’ you how you’re the most wonderful thing to happen to her – but a better man resists the urges.”
He closes his eyes and counts to ten. He knows he should walk away; but he’s infuriated by the baron’s assumptions and impertinence – more than the Lioness had ever enraged him, in fact.
“And I’m not a fool – I know how these things can escalate. Talkin’ leads to touchin’, touchin’ leads to sex. But I’ve been bitin’ my tongue, hopin’ you’d come to your senses. Instead it looks like you’ve taken her to your bed.”
He can’t take it anymore; he throws the first punch.

Oh, my! I love George, but honestly, has anybody ever been more wrong about Kel?
.... but then he's probably doing it on purpose, in hopes that if he fights with Wyldon, Alanna won't actually challenge him.

This is awesome, and quite unexpected! Could George possibly be riling Wyldon up to test how serious Wyldon is about Kel?

The worst is that - in my head - nothing has even happened between Kel and Wyldon. Thanks, guys!!
