Title: Goodbye, Good Guy Rating: PG Length: 155 words Character: Wyldon Summary: Her mix-and-match memory has managed to make him a god. Note: inspired by Frente!’s song of the same title.
“You know you could come to the ball tonight and spend the evening with me,” Dom suggested.
“Instead of holing up in my own rooms?” Kel finished for him.
“Exactly. This isn’t like you, Kel.”
She studied his vivid eyes, wishing they were dark and somber. Could she feel for Dom what she once had? He was still one of the most handsome men she’d ever met.
But her heart did not soar when he smiled. When he touched her, it didn’t make shivers run through her body.
And it would be so much easier if he still had that effect on her. Instead of loving a man who was not available, a man to whom no one else could measure up in her estimation, she could have been content with a good man who cared about her.
“I can’t,” she said finally.
“Because he might be there?” he asked sadly.
She nodded. “Goodnight, Dom.”

Aw, poor Dom. :/ I love the K/W undertones, and how she's raised him on such a high pedestal.

Oh, I love this, and how he falls so short with all the comparisons.
