Title: If You Love Her

Summary: If you love something, let it go. If it doesn’t come back, it was never meant to be.
She had warned him that she was fickle. She’d given herself to him whole-heartedly, but said that her heart shifted often.
And he had foolishly written off everything she said, assuming she was being too harsh on herself. But now he knew better. She was every bit as fickle as she had warned him; after eight months of tender words and passionate love-making, she had found herself no longer interested.
He did not attempt to stop her. He didn’t plead or beg for her to stay with him. He loved Keladry’s independence and determination, and asking her to reconsider seemed to go against all the things he adored.
He tried not to use his position to find out what was going on in her personal life; he knew where she was stationed, and left it at that. Instead he focused on his work, and hoped that maybe somewhere along her path she would find her way back to him.

Especially since she will probably fall for someone else. Excellent job at capturing their characters!
