Raoul lifted the infant, bringing him close. “Just like his da.” His eyes shone with pride.
Kel smiled, silently watching Raoul with the baby. He was a more natural father than she ever could have expected.
Raoul bounced the baby. His small mouth popped open with surprise, revealing bright pink gums. His plump face scrunched up with glee.
“He’s got a killer smile.” Alanna said wickedly. “Just like his da.”
Kel thought of Owen, and winced. Just like his dad, indeed.
