“Have you thought of a name for this precious boy?” Ilane asked, handling the swaddled infant to her daughter.
Kel looked at Owen, a question in her eyes. “I – we hadn’t discussed it.”
“We’ve planned his entire future, but we hadn’t thought of what to name him,” Owen explained, running his forefinger along his son’s plump cheek.
“Perhaps there’s a relative at Jesslaw you could name him for? Or a friend you feel strongly about?”
“We could name him for Raoul,” she suggested.
“Or Lord Wyldon,” Owen countered. “He trained both of us, after all.”
“Neal would kill us,” Kel reasoned.
Their eyes lit up at the same time. “We’ll call him Nealan,” they agreed in unison.
