Title: Another One Bites The Dust (3) Rating: PG Length: 127 Competitor: Raoul Round/Fight: 3/A Summary: Raoul takes care of business.
-
Even before the other man’s lance connected solidly with his shield, Raoul was bracing himself in his saddle, feeling in his gut that he was sitting just exactly right to unseat his opponent. He angled his lance arm just the slightest bit, and with a roar upon impact, pushed forward and up to drive the noble out of the saddle and into the air.
He dropped his lance even as his opponent’s squire came charging toward the lists, pulling off his helmet and shaking the sweat out of his hair. Satisfied, Raoul turned his high-stepping gelding to survey the fallen man, who now was climbing sorely to his feet, eyeing him warily.
That, Raoul thought grimly as he left the field, was how to stop a rumour.
