Summary: Two youngsters are surprised.
“Are you sure your mother won’t find us?” A young servant girl asked the equally young redish haired man she was with.
“Not if you’re quiet. Okay?”
“Alright. I promise I’ll be quiet. I don’t want to wake her.”
The young boy smiled faintly in return, although is the darkness Mithros knows if the girl could actually see him at all. “Look, I have something for you. I bought it from a store in the next village.”
“Really, because I have something for you to. It’s just I had to make it myself. You know we don’t have a lot of money.”
“That’s okay. Handmade presents are the best kind. I’m just not creative enough to make my own,” he said in turn pulling out a beautiful blue silk ribbon. “Here you go.”
She took the ribbon and pulled out a piece of paper cut out to make the most graceful of snowflakes ever seen. He took the snowflake and held it up to see in better with what little light there was.
“Could you pull my hair back? Please?” She questioned carefully. Without actually answering, he took the ribbon and piling her hair up on her head secured it in place with the ribbon. As his hand brushed across the back of her neck, they could both feel a heat flare up as if from nowhere, and soon, the two were kissing.
They didn’t even notice, when a certain roguish looking man approached commenting, “What do we have here?”
And while the two may not have noticed him approaching, they did hear him and jumped apart at the sound of his voice.
