Title: I love winter
Rating (and Warnings): R
Prompt: #1 - Winter
Summary: George has fun telling Alanna why he loves winter.
Notes: I was just thinking that I needed to get back to writing about my first favourite Tortall couple, when this came to me in the shower.
-----
“I love winter,” George muttered as he laid another kiss on his wife’s beautiful bare skin. His hand caressed her thigh.
“I must be losing my touch.” Alanna said; one corner of her lips quirking up in amusement. “There was a time when my husband did not talk of the seasons while staring at my naked body.”
“You? Losin’ your touch? Never!” He kissed those pouting lips again. “You’re as beautiful today as the day we married.” Hazel eyes lost themselves in purple ones.
“You lying rogue,” Alanna laughed. Grabbing a fistful of his tousled hair, she pulled his head down for another deep kiss.
“I meant t’ say, before I was so rudely interrupted,” George raised himself up on his elbows and smiled that wicked smile down at her.
“Rudely interrupted?” She reached down to grab him, purple eyes laughing.
“Hush!” He frowned down at her sternly, ruthlessly tickling her into behaving. “I was sayin’,” he continued, “I love winter, because it’s usually a quiet season. Not as many outlaws and other nasties are out and about, doin’ evil deeds that’ll make the mighty Champion of the Realm chase after them. Not willin’ t’ brave the cold, these cowards.” Alanna smiled and wrapped her arms around his neck.
“And if the magnificent Champion isn’t out chasing these cowards, that means she’ll have more time to spend at home, in the holiday season.” George said as he kissed the hollow behind her ear. “With her incredible husband,” he grinned and kissed the side of her neck. “In bed.” Another kiss fell near the other two. “Naked.” He nibbled along under her jaw. “Pleasing him every way she can.”
“Oh, is that right, dear incredible husband?” The Champion quipped, one eyebrow arched and eyes narrowed with mischief.
“Of course it is,” George nipped lightly at her lips.
“Well, let’s just see about who’s supposed to be pleasing whom then.” Hitching one leg over his, she flipped them over on the bed.
“Either way, is it any wonder why I love winter, my love?” He asked she wrapped strong legs around his waist.
