Title: Reunion Rating: PG Word count: 166 Summary: Alanna isn't used to being the one left behind.
Alanna reached the front steps of the Swoop just as George’s horse came trotting into the courtyard. They came to a halt as soon as he caught sight of her, and he jumped off, patted his mare, and handed the reins to a stableboy with a grin. He’d planned on sweeping his wife into a kiss as soon as he reached her, but she beat him to it. George grinned when they broke apart. “I take it ye missed me, then?” Her only response was to grab his hand and drag him in the direction of the stables. “Woah, lass.” She looked at him, her eyebrow raised impatiently. “Much as I like the hayloft, I’m lookin’ forward to enjoyin’ ye properly in our own bed.” Clothing was strewn around the bedchamber as soon as the door was closed. “You have no idea how much I missed you,” murmured Alanna. George grinned. “You could always show me,” he suggested, a twinkle in his eye. And she did.
